Class 10 students will be completing this Grammar Blog Project in place of the responding tasks this semester. You will be creating and presenting a blog post which explains an element of German grammar.
Step 1: Choose your grammar topic (eg. Prepositions in German). Choose a topic which you would like to understand more clearly!
Step 2: Research and learn as much as you can about your chosen topic. You will need to show that you have referred to 3 online resources and 3 paper resources directly related to your topic.
Step 3: Test your understanding - explain your topic to another student as clearly as possible, using examples to illustrate the points. Ask them for feedback on what is and is not clear to help you formulate your explanation more clearly.
Step 4: Create your blog post - once you provide a gmail address to Jen you will be enabled to post on this blog. You will be able to save your work in draft format as you go, so you won't need to publish what you are writing until it is finished. Your blog post needs to give a clear explanation of your chosen grammar topic in your own words. The post should be written in English, but should include German language examples to illustrate your points. Your blog must include a title, an explanation of the grammar point, examples of how to use it in German, and a list of the resources you used in your research. Your three online sources should be included as LINKS.
Step 5: Present your blog post to the class. You'll need to talk us through your explanation of the topic, allowing for questions and clarifications from the audience.
Step 6: After your presentation you will run a short activity for the class, designed to reinforce what you have explained and give them a chance to put it into practice. The activity can be practical, spoken or written.
